Dec LSAT Results

Dec LSAT results are nearly in. Are you wondering how you did? You're certainly not alone. Early feedback we're hearing is that this LSAT was nothing out of the ordinary. Over at Kaplan, their survey ranked the logic games the hardest section yet again. Here is an article that covers some additional information and provides additional links, check it out at LSAT December results.

2009 is shaping up to be a hyper competitive law school admissions cycle - as applications are pouring in at many schools because of the bad economy. Good luck!

December LSAT Last Minute Prep

It was just a few years ago today that I was preparing to take the LSAT for the first time. October had rolled in, and even though I was scheduled to take the exam in December, I still hadn't studied. Then came November, still no studying. Finally, Thanksgiving came along and I said "Shit!" I better start studying for the LSAT. Last minute LSAT prep is better than no LSAT prep. I was lucky enough to get my hands on what I now consider the best LSAT prep guide on the market today. I needed something cheap, easy to get and something with a proven record - afterall, I only had less than 10 days before I took the exam. I was lucky enough to get the Morrison Media LSAT Secrets program. For me it really made a difference. I never suspected that with approx. 40 hours of study time I could master all of the core LSAT concepts in time to take the December LSAT. Lucky for me, I did! I scored a full 15 points higher on my official LSAT than I had scored with my practice tests. I was so damn happy! I wouldn't need to take the LSAT again and ultimately, I was able to get into my second choice law school.

The Morrison guide, instantly down loadable, will give you instant access to all LSAT tips, LSAT tricks, and LSAT strategies you need to understand in order to get the best possible LSAT score. To register for the LSAT, visit LSAC.org.

Getting Into Law School

Getting into law school is tough business. I'm sorry so many people are disappointed with their LSAT scores. The LSAT test really in many way stinks. But you can succeed in getting into law school - trust me, I did!

I can say this, don't lose hope and keep doing everything within your power to improve your lsat, your GPA, your application and your interview skills (if you have a face to face at a law school) - - Keep the faith! You'll reach your goals and beat the admissions process. Sure, you might not get into Harvard but, if you work hard enough, you won't be one of the 40,000 who fail to get in anywhere every single year.

How To Get Into Law School

A new ebook has popped up to compete in the law school admissions space. It is called "Getting Into Law School : The 7 Secrets To Law School Admissions". I've reviewed this resource and I have found it to be a valuable resource regarding how to get into law school. It's not a cure all for bad grades and a bad GPA, but it def. is a useful if you want to put together the best possible law school application. 3 stars - B average

165 LSAT - Almost a Really Good Score!

165 LSAT - You Almost Guaranteed You Will Be Rich and Powerful!

High scores, like a 165 lsat, don’t spell automatic admission to top law schools- although in the big scheme of things, they are pretty darn close!

You should be excited and proud that you did so well on one of the most challenging exams in the world.

So, you scored a 165 on your LSAT this October you may be thinking: "What Next?"

Again, congrats! You’re probably (rightly) thinking you will gain admission to one of the top law schools in the country! But, be cognizant that a 165 lsat, even if you have a fantastic undergrad record, will probably not be enough to get you into a top law school. Unless you take further action to help yourself. I followed this exact method below and got into a top 20 law school despite 163 lsat and 2.8 undergrad GPA!

For starters. you’re going to need to get busy overcoming this score in your application. We’re in the thick of the law school application process right now and there really isn't a moment to spare!

Seriously, don’t waste another minute. Your law school application needs to be perfect. What constitutes a perfect application (in lieu of a 180 lsat and a 4.0 undergrad GPA):

  • Leveraging your work experience. Tell the law school admissions officers why your work experience is more important than your academic record, or at least as in important.
  • Detailing how you overcame hardship. Don’t pass on adding an addendum to your application detailing the hardships you’ve overcome.
  • Tout your diversity (race, religion, socio-economic background…whatever you’ve got!) in your personal statement and how this makes you a desirable applicant.
Isn't this all common commonsensical? Yet, so many people forget to cover the basics and these easy steps will go along way to really, really helping you out. If you need more ideas, some real world examples and additional trips and strategies:

If you still need help crafting the perfect law school admissions application, you’ll need Covert Tactics. This is the one book that taught me all these tips and tricks that helped me get into law school (and hopefully, pass the bar next year!). It really changed my life. If you need help or are worried, pick it up! You won't be disappointed.

The December LSAT

The December LSAT is nearly here! The December LSAT is rapidly becoming one of the most popular LSAT exams of the year. Be sure to give yourself at least four weeks to study using the best LSAT prep and make sure you have your basic December LSAT information down pat.

So, please don't waste another minute - getting studying. I gave myself nearly 4 weeks to study and it was really the perfect amount of time to study for the LSAT as I peaked the week of the exam and really was primed (and not exhausted) when I sat for the exam.

Getting Into Law School Using Covert Tactics!

Covert Tactics for Getting Into Law School

This book got me into one of the very best law schools in the country. You can take my word on this, you will absolutely love it. Once you buy the book online you can download it immediately. Be sure to print it up, take notes, dog ear, do whatever you need to do to absorb the information in it.

Covert Tactics will get you energized for the law school admissions process, the LSAT test and the ultimate acceptance into a top school.

This isn't my product, but I should tell you that the author of this great book had bad grades as an undergraduate and below average, mediocre LSAT scores, yet he got into 11/11 law schools he applied to. The same happened to me (Columbia) and this book taught how to beat the system. What's is doubly great is that if you are not completely satisfied with the book the authors will give you a complete refund.

Law Schools to Watch Out For!

Students need to be very careful where they spend their hard earned money.

Three schools merit special attention.

They are the New College of Law in California. To read about their problems read this story about their loss of accreditation.

Another school to watch out for is Ave Maria Law School in Michigan. The school is planning to move to Florida and a big brew-ha-ha has erupted.

The final school featured here is American Justice School of Law in Paducah, Kentucky. After a major league fraud scandal the school has been transfered to new owners. I would recommend to wait and see what happens with this school before committing to it. Read an article from Andrew Wolfson on the situtation. It's on better ground now but still might not be on the firm ground they need for long term success. For instance, the school's website is down as I write.

Online Law Schools- Myth and Reality-

Check out this blog posting about online law schools.

It definetly seems that opinions are changing about online law schools - and changing for the better!

I've been helping one of my students investigate online law schools. The student has been very pleased with his interactions with Abraham Lincoln Law School (an online law school based in California). I'm happy to see that more affordable options to expensive, old school black shoe schools are appearing.

If you've had any experiences with Abraham Lincoln Law School or Kaplan, please share them with us!
